Sierra Madre's JailHouse Inn
is literally the "old jail" which is located
in the Historic City Hall -
on the corner of Sierra Madre Blvd. and Windsor Lane
in the quaint village of Sierra Madre.
In fact, our entrance is on Windsor Lane
although our address - for purposes of getting directions -
is 55 W. Sierra Madre Blvd., Sierra Madre, CA 91024.
The entire space is about 200 square feet---we have been deemed the
smallest
[ and we think---the cutest! ] Hotel in the U.S. -
since we can only accommodate two people at a time -
as we only have one
“suite!”
You will be delighted to find the jail décor is done in a very upscale
way -
no steel bunk beds or tin cups! - and it is filled with many personal
“touches”
[ before becoming a criminal prosecutor - I was an interior designer].
Our cozy Inn has a comfy queen size bed, shower with brass fixtures,
plush towels, fine linens,
bathrobes,
a hairdryer,
LCD TV/DVD player combo [ and a great selection of complimentary DVDs ],
CD player & classical CDs, small refrigerator,
coffee maker [ and coffee, tea and hot chocolate ] ,
bottled water - as well as lots of munchies such as a selection of
cookies, peanuts, candy, etc -
all of which are complimentary!
Should
you choose to include Breakfast - a Full breakfast of your choosing
-
will be served at Corfu Restaurant
which is just across the street from the Inn on Sierra Madre Blvd.
and has both indoor and outdoor dining.
The
rates are $150 [ without breakfast ] for a one
night stay
or $130 per night for 2 or more nights -
with an additional $5 per person if breakfast
is included
[ guests may choose any breakfast entree on the menu - from oatmeal to eggs
benedict! ] .
* Please note daily maid service is not provided in an effort to maintain
reasonable room rates.
Check-in is 4:00 P.M. and check-out is Noon.
We
accept personal or business checks and cash - sorry no credit cards.
Our
unique Inn "appeals" [ okay, just a little legalese ] to everyone!
Our guests have celebrated wedding nights, anniversaries
[ including 50th anniversaries ] , birthdays, or just a weekend get-away -
and have traveled from as far away as Asia and Europe and as close as a few houses
away.
